As Head of Sustainability Engineering Services, Steffen is helping clients adopt better environmental, social and governance (ESG) business practices and create green & healthy properties. With specialised teams across EMEA, he provides services that help improve quality and decarbonise the real estate sector to be net-zero carbon by 2050. He is part of the CRREM committee to develop the framework further. As an active member of the RICS Europe Sustainability Working Group, he helps to embed sustainability in their standards. Steffen has over ten years of international experience in the construction, energy, and real estate sectors. He has helped many investors, developers, owners, and managers improve corporate ESG, portfolio sustainability, and advice on green buildings. Prior to joining CBRE, he was the head of sustainability service in CEE and the global lead for asset performance & modelling at JLL. He founded Walvius Consulting, a dedicated real estate sustainability consulting boutique that helps clients with corporate ESG by plugging into the organisation with expertise and capabilities to support internal ESG managers.
