Michael holds a BSc (Hons) in Urban Estate Surveying from Trent Polytechnic and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Society of Property Researchers. Michael has worked in the property sector since 1988 and has been a member of the RICS since 1990. Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis in 2001, he was an associate partner in the research department of GVA Grimley, with particular responsibility for office market research. He worked as a general practice surveyor for eight years before moving into research, concentrating mainly on professional services such as valuation and landlord and tenant, with firms such as JLL, Insignia Richard Ellis and GVA Grimley.
Since the merger between CB Richard Ellis and Insignia Richard Ellis Michael has focussed entirely on the EMEA markets outside the UK. Within the EMEA region he is responsible for providing a central focus for clients requiring advice on issues which cross national boundaries, carrying out major research projects on issues facing the property industry and markets across the region, the co-ordination and collation of market research from the 60 CB Richard Ellis and other associated offices in the EMEA region and providing support to CB Richard Ellis researchers in those offices.
