Maximilian Mendel is a co-founder of SPHERE Asset Management, an independent investment partner and management platform active in the Polish living sector and beyond. Together with three partners, he launched SPHERE as a new chapter in collaborative and forward-looking living strategies. Before founding SPHERE, Maximilian was Managing Director of Zeitgeist Asset Management, overseeing the firm’s operations in Poland and managing all related SPVs. Prior to that, he served as Senior Director and Head of Living Investment at JLL, and earlier was one of the partners at REAS | Residential Advisors, Poland’s leading residential consultancy at the time. With over 20 years of experience in the real estate sector, Maximilian has developed deep expertise in investor relations, transactions, asset management, property development, leasing and operations, advisory, and research. He holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany, and a PhD from the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization at the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and plays an active role in the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where he co-chairs the Urban Living Product Council in Poland.
