Sašo Šmigić holds a degree from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. He began his career in 2006 as an Asset Manager at KD BPD stockbroking company. In 2008, he joined Generali Investments (formerly KD Funds), where he advanced to the position of Senior Portfolio Manager – Head of Research in 2013. In this role, he has been responsible for managing the Generali Raw Materials and Energy sector fund, as well as emerging markets funds, including Generali New Markets, Generali India – China, and Generali Latin America. In September 2023, he was appointed Member of the Management Board of Generali Investments for a four-year term.
