Head of Office Advisory
Originally from a German-English family, Oliver Derksen grew up in Brussels, Belgium, before moving to Romania in 2007, where he has since built a career spanning nearly two decades in commercial real estate. He completed his education at the European School Brussels II (EEB2) in Woluwe, where studying alongside students from across Europe in a multilingual environment helped shape his international outlook and passion for languages. He later studied simultaneous interpretation and translation in Brussels before relocating to Romania. Today, Oliver serves as Head of Office Advisory at iO Partners Romania, the exclusive strategic partner of JLL across Central and Eastern Europe, where he leads the Office Advisory team. In this role, he oversees strategic advisory services for occupiers, guiding clients on office leasing, portfolio optimisation, and workplace strategy through his team. Throughout his career, he has worked with numerous multinational corporations and Romanian companies and is recognised for his market knowledge, pragmatic approach, and collaborative leadership style. Oliver speaks English, German, French, Romanian, Italian, and Dutch, bringing a multicultural perspective to advising both international occupiers and local businesses. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling with his wife and daughter, discovering new cultures, and spending quality time with his family.
