Investment Director

Mateusz Szymczak is the Investment Director for Poland at Mitiska REIM, where he is responsible for managing and growing the firm’s investment portfolio across the Polish market. With more than 12 years of experience in real estate and investment, he oversees the full transaction cycle—from identifying and executing acquisitions to optimising asset performance and delivering long-term value for investors. Mitiska REIM is a leading European investor specialising in convenience-based retail parks. In Poland, the company invests alongside local partners, most notably through a joint venture with Karuzela—a developer focused on the delivery and management of modern, community-oriented retail parks. The Polish portfolio also includes other strategic investments beyond the Karuzela platform, reflecting a diversified and active approach to the retail sector. Mateusz joined Mitiska REIM in 2017, bringing with him a deep understanding of the Polish real estate landscape. His earlier career included roles at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and MS Mutual Fund Society, where he focused on retail investments and built a strong foundation in financial analysis and asset management. He holds a master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the Warsaw School of Economics and is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
