Joey Aoun is a Chartered Engineer and Registered Architect with 12+ years of international experience spanning sustainable design, engineering consultancy, institutional real estate investment management and responsible investment. His career has focused on bridging technical performance, investment decision-making and implementation, translating sustainability and ESG ambitions into practical, measurable outcomes. Joey currently leads the London office and ESG & Sustainability Advisory practice at BE Design. Previously, as Director and Global Net Zero & Sustainability Lead at Savills Investment Management, he led global net zero and sustainability programmes across a €26bn real estate investment platform, translating climate, social and nature priorities into investment strategy, portfolio programmes, governance and asset-level action. Joey is a LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP, has served on the GRESB Net Zero Working Group, and is a Visiting Instructor at UCL and a speaker on the University of Cambridge Sustainability Leadership programme. He is also a published researcher on building energy and heat decarbonisation, an active industry contributor and mentor, a CIBSE Ken Dale Travel Bursary recipient for research on domestic retrofit in the European context, and a 2025 Unlock Net Zero Climate Champions Power List finalist.
