Anna Sinnott is Head of Consultancy at Be First, the urban regeneration vehicle for the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. She grew up in Auckland, New Zealand and brings an objective, practical approach to development opportunities as well as a genuine enthusiasm for delivering change, gained from the personal experience of choosing to invest in London for 20 years, the city her family call home. The team delivers proactive and commercially astute town planning advice to clients developing sites across London and the Southeast. Shaping projects, guiding whole development teams through the planning process, transforming ambitious visions into successful places and communities. Rooted in the values of socially inclusive growth, in an area of London that provides the best value for housing and the most untapped industrial opportunity. Their work has been formally recognised, winning several awards for recent work in 2025. Equally valued are the thousands of residents and businesses that have had their futures transformed through new homes, premises and infrastructure developed and delivered under Anna’s leadership. Be First is now the largest council-house building agency in London, delivering 20% of all the council homes currently being constructed in London.
