Taylor Wessing Slovakia has advised Tatra Asset Management, správ. spol., a.s., Fond nájomného bývania o.p.f. — a dedicated alternative investment fund focused on rental housing — on its entry into Slovakia's state-supported rental housing scheme. On 1 July 2026, the Slovak government approved the execution of the Investment Agreement between Tatra Asset Management and the Agency for State-Supported Rental Housing, which was subsequently signed on 15 July 2026, enabling the fund to become an investment partner in the scheme with its own residential projects.

Taylor Wessing's mandate covered legal advice on the negotiation of the Investment Agreement, with focus on the interaction between the legal framework governing state-supported rental housing and the regulatory requirements applicable to collective investment undertakings and investment fund structures. The scheme is one of the Slovak government's key initiatives aimed at increasing the supply of affordable rental housing and attracting long-term institutional investment into the residential sector.

The advisory drew on the firm's Real Estate and Banking & Finance team, led by partner Silvia Hlavačková and comprising senior associate Silvia Janigová and associate Veronika Čapeková, with additional support from Corporate/M&A partner Juraj Frindrich.

"We are pleased to have advised Tatra Asset Management on another strategically significant mandate. Our team has been involved from the outset and continues to advise the client as the project moves into its next phase, including the acquisition and development of suitable residential projects for the scheme," said Hlavačková.
