Wood & Company obtains record loan for Bratislava asset
Wood & Company has obtained a loan of €229.5 million, one of the highest amounts in the Slovak real estate market, to refinance the debt of the Aupark shopping centre in Bratislava. The financing will be provided by several European banking groups, all of which have operated historically in Slovakia.

Wood & Company acquires Aupark Bratislava shopping centre
Wood & Company, together with its JV partner Tatra Asset Management, has announced the acquisition of the Aupark Bratislava shopping centre in Slovakia from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. The completion of the transaction is expected during the first half of this year and is subject to standard conditions precedent, such as competition clearance.

New leases
- Global AI has entered the Romanian market by leasing 600 sqm of office space within the Bucharest-based Tower Center International building owned by Globalworth. The transaction was facilitated by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
- XXS GYM has signed a lease for over 850 sqm of space in the modern O3 Business Campus office complex, located on Opolska Street in the northern part of Cracow.
- Alior Bank has extended its lease at Ocean Office Park B in Kraków to accommodate its Private Banking Department. The deal, supported by brokerage firm CBRE, marks the final stage of a two-year consolidation of the bank's Kraków operations. Following the expansion, the bank occupies approximately 7,000 sqm within the Cavatina Group-owned complex.
New appointments
- Avison Young has strengthened its Polish leadership with three senior promotions. Patryk Błach ascends to Associate Director within the Investment Advisory Department. Kamil Głowienka has been named Senior Project Manager. Furthermore, Katarzyna Uzar becomes a Valuation and Innovation Specialist, tasked with integrating technological solutions and coordinating global departmental projects.
- Katarzyna Myjak has joined Axi Immo as Senior Business Advisory Manager, tasked with strengthening the company’s Industrial & Logistics business line.
- Czech investment group SCF has expanded its team by appointing Jan Simandl as Senior Leasing Team Leader. In this role, Simandl will oversee leasing activities across the company’s commercial property portfolio. He previously worked for CPI Property Group and CBRE.
