British group acquires Praktiker Romania

British group Kingfisher PLC, a European DIY chain present in Romania through the Brico Depot brand, acquired Praktiker Romania, which currently operates 26 units and is one of the largest DIY retailers in the country. PeliFilip assisted Kingfisher PLC.

New leases

  • Softeh Plus, one of the most important developers of medical software systems in Romania, has leased 1,200 sqm of office space in Bucharest-based Timpuri Noi Square, owned by Vastint Romania.
  • The Flügger brand has joined the Europa Centralna shopping centre in Gliwice (southern Poland). The new paint and interior design shop will open on 330 sqm in Q1 2025.
  • Companies from the Polish Development Fund (PFR) Group, including insurer KUKE, have decided to prolong their office leases (9,500 sqm in total) in the Cedet office building in the heart of Warsaw. Experts from the advisory firm Colliers facilitated the lease renegotiation process.

New appointments

  • AG Capital has appointed Ivaylo Vatev as CFO. He has previously worked in management roles for Aurubis Germany and PwC.
  • Colliers has announced the appointment of Grzegorz Sielewicz as Head of the Economic and Market Analysis Department for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). His role will cover Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Romania.
  • Genesis Property has appointed Flavia Schoech as COO, tasked with leading the development and alignment of the operational strategy of the developer.
