Erste sells land for warehouse development near Budapest

Erste Real Estate, a subsidiary of Erste Bank Hungary, has signed an agreement to sell 57 hectares of a 170-hectare plot in Ecser, next to Budapest, to an international logistics company that intends to build a 100,000-square-meter high bay warehouse on the plot. VLK Cresa assisted the seller in this transaction.

Skanska sells Budapest office project to Erste fund

Skanska has sold Mill Park, a two-building office project in Budapest, to the real estate fund of Erste Alapkezelő Zrt., one of the subsidiaries of Erste Asset Management GmbH, for €100 million. This is the second acquisition from Skanska in Budapest that the purchaser has made following the Nordic Light transaction in 2016.

Erste Real Estate Fund acquires Budapest office building

Promenade Gardens, a recently completed office building on Budapest’s Váci corridor, changed owners on 1 August 2018, when Erste Real Estate Fund purchased the 97% leased property from the developer, Budapest-based Horizon Development. The new, dual certified (LEED Gold and BREEAM Very Good) asset of 25,000 sqm has already been chosen by a number of international tenants such as Celanese and Citibank, with more signed deals to be revealed soon.

Erste Real Estate Fund acquires Budapest retail park

Market Central Ferihegy, one of the largest retail parks in Hungary, and adjacent office complex Quadrum have been acquired by Erste Real Estate Fund. According to Erste Asset Management, growth of the economy and expansion of the retail market in Hungary may facilitate higher rent, representing favourable outlooks for future returns of real estate funds.

Union Investment sells Budapest office building to Erste fund

Union Investment has sold the 18,000 sqm office property Krisztina Palace in Budapest. The property was acquired in 2008 as a development project and has been part of the portfolio of the open-end real estate fund Unilmmo: Global ever since. The property has been purchased by the Erste Open-Ended Real Estate Investment Fund, managed by Erste Asset Management, the asset management arm of Erste Group. CBRE brokered the transaction and the legal firm CMS provided legal advice.

Skanska sells and develops in Budapest

Skanska has sold the Nordic Light office building in Budapest, Hungary, to the real estate funds of Erste Alapkezelő Zrt. – one of the subsidiaries of Erste Asset Management GmbH. The value of the transaction is €67 million. The transaction has been recorded in December, with the transfer of the property scheduled for the first quarter of 2017. Skanska has also started its newest office development in the Hungarian capital.

Latest news


New leases

  • Mindspace, a global operator of flexible office spaces, has signed a long-term lease agreement with Karimpol Polska for nearly 4,500 sqm of space in the Warsaw-based Skyliner II. Mindspace was advised by Gide Loyrette Nouel law firm, while Argon Legal provided legal advice to Karimpol.
  • Sygnity will take over new office space in Building B of the West Forum complex in Wrocław. The tenant, which has been present at the site for nearly 20 years, has opted to relocate within the development and sign a new long-term lease agreement. Sygnity was represented in the transaction by Patron Brokers, while BNM Real Estate serves as the exclusive agent for West Forum.
  • The M1 Zabrze shopping centre, managed by EPP, has signed new leases covering 2,500 sqm. This includes CentrumRowerowe.pl, which will occupy 2,150 sqm for a new stationary showroom. The tenant group at M1 has also been joined by Alpine Pro, Świat Książki, and Wakacje.pl.

New appointments

  • CTP Romania has appointed Diane-Monique Forrest as Business Developer. She will focus on leasing activities in Transylvania, covering key cities such as Timișoara, Arad, Sibiu, and Deva.
  • iO Partners has announced the appointment of Róbert Cesnek as Head of Capital Markets in Slovakia, effective from January 2026. In his new role, he will focus on further strengthening market presence, advising clients on complex investment decisions and delivering high-impact transactions across asset classes.
  • Mateusz Sobczak has joined Scallier’s operations in Poland as Project Manager within the Development Department. Sobczak is an experienced engineer with 15 years of professional practice in project management within the commercial real estate sector. Throughout his career to date, he has collaborated with leading logistics developers, including the MLP Group and 7R.
