Property Forum is pleased to announce it is partnering with Unissu, the world’s PropTech marketplace, to launch Connect, the global real estate equivalent of TED Talks. Budapest will be one of the 15 cities globally where hand-picked speakers will record their speeches for a global audience.

With the aim of providing 180 free-to-view videos from worldwide experts on the future of global real estate and the rise of technology in the sector, the event will be simultaneously hosted in 15 cities, over five continents in five days in March 2020.

These will be held in Europe (London, Helsinki, Moscow, Budapest), North America (Toronto, New York, San Francisco), South America (Santiago, Buenos Aires, São Paulo), Africa (Lagos, Johannesburg) and AsiaPac (Bangalore, Hong Kong, Sydney).

JLL and proptech focused venture capitalist M7 Structura, have already signed up as lead sponsors for AsiaPac and Europe, respectively..

Confirmed speakers already include Professor Andrew Baum, Author of PropTech 3.0, Helen Lam, Head of Innovation at Lendlease and Gaia Arzilli, Innovation & Partnerships Lead at HB Reavis.

Property Forum and Unissu are now looking for the very best thought leaders in the Central & Eastern European region to become speakers, who will be hand-picked based on their ideas, data, innovation and ability to truly educate a global audience. Anyone interested in speaking can apply at www.globalproptech.com

Each event will be unique, being focused on digital recordings rather than to a physical audience and all recordings will utilise the latest production technology in a green screen studio in Budapest.

All recorded content, from around the world will be gathered together and promoted through the local partners and also syndicated through Unissu and a host of other exclusive partnerships which meant that this is an opportunity for all speakers who want to grow their profile globally.

Networking events will also be announced throughout the event week across all locations to ensure the best in-person networking too.

CEO & Founder of Property Forum, Csanád Csűrös explained: “Property Forum is committed to bringing together technology leaders and real estate professionals. Technology has been the key topic of our forums for years now and Connect will provide a brand new platform to spread the word on the importance of innovation in our industry. We look forward to choosing the best speakers together with the Unissu team from the rapidly emerging CEE proptech scene and to helping them connect them with a global audience.”

Co-Founder of Unissu, James Dearsley stated:  “The Connect series is a pivotal moment in the Unissu journey to help educate the global property market as it comes to grip with digital transformation and we are pleased to partner with Property Forum to launch this ambitious initiative in Budapest.

We feel passionate that the best ideas about change could come from anybody involved in the industry, not just so-called ‘influencers’ and hence the call for speakers. Connect will democratise access to the best ideas and will help amplify the concepts globally to an audience desperate for guidance.”

Director of PropTech at JLL, Jordan Kostelac commented: “Innovation is all about applying unconventional means to solve challenges. Unissu is exploring new ways to reach PropTech collaborators all around the world and we are pleased to support the initiative. At the same time, we cannot wait to share some of our own innovative approaches through Connect and give the world a peek at what the next decade holds for the property industry.”
