Logistics provider Maracana has signed a lease to expand its warehouse capacity to over 10,000 sqm in MLP Bucharest West, in a deal brokered by real estate consultancy JLL Romania.

Maracana has been active on the Romanian market for over 30 years and has collaborated with MLP Group since 2011. It operates a vast fleet of vehicles and offers quick transport services to any destination by various means of transport.

The first of MLP Bucharest West, which saw more than 22,000 sqm built, reached a fully occupancy rate following the latest lease transaction.

“Our project in Romania was developed on a speculative basis, which enabled us to quickly meet the requirements of our client, who needed ready-to-occupy warehouse space. In addition, the location of our logistics centre is undoubtedly a major advantage for potential companies, simultaneously I would like to thank the JLL team for their support, commitment, and professionalism,” said Agnieszka Góźdź, Sales Director, MLP Group.

MLP Bucharest West is a logistics and manufacturing park with an area of 99,000 sqm at full build-out. It is located in Romania’s key region, only 15 km from the capital city, and has direct access to the city’s ring road and the A1 motorway.

JLL has worked on lease deals totalling 24,000 sqm for Maracana in Romania to date.
