Ghelamco has announced changes in the management board of its Polish companies. As of 14 April 2023, Paul Gheysens, owner and founder of Ghelamco, took over as President of the Management Board, and Jarosław Zagórski became the new Managing Director, replacing Jeroen van der Toolen in this position. The board was also expanded with the addition of new members: Michael Gheysens, Marie-Julie Gheysens, Chris Heggerick and Rafał Gierczak.

Jarosław Zagórski, who has been with the Belgian developer for more than 16 years, where he previously served as Commercial and Business Development Director and board member, has been appointed the new Managing Director of Ghelamco Poland. On 14 April 2023, he took over from Jeroen van der Toolen, who stepped down on the same day. Jarosław Zagórski will be responsible for Ghelamco’s business strategy and overall operations in Poland.

“I am excited that such an experienced professional with excellent knowledge of our company and the industry as Jarosław Zagórski will lead Ghelamco in Poland. The expanded board, which will also include members of our family, will be strong support for him and the company’s operations. With these decisions, we are confident that Ghelamco continued dynamic growth and our leadership position in the commercial real estate market will remain unshaken,” comments Paul Gheysens, CEO, owner and founder of Ghelamco. “I would also like to thank Jeroen van der Toolen for more than 21 years of our cooperation. It has been a very intense and fruitful time for Ghelamco, during which we have achieved great success in the Polish and CEE markets. The assumption of his duties by Jarosław is a natural step for us and the best solution from the point of view of the company’s interests, allowing us to maintain operational and business continuity”.

“It is an honour for me to be able to take over the position of managing director of Ghelamco Poland and at the same time a huge challenge. I would like to thank Mr Paul Gheysens and the entire Ghelamco management board for placing so much trust in me. Our company has a strong and stable leadership position in the office market in Poland, which we intend to maintain by implementing more spectacular projects and further setting trends in the real estate industry,” says Jarosław Zagórski, Managing Director of Ghelamco Poland.

Jarosław Zagórski has more than 25 years of experience in the Polish real estate market. He specializes in the commercialization and development of real estate projects, office building marketing and proptech. Prior to joining Ghelamco, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cushman & Wakefield, Healey & Baker Polska, where he became a partner in 2002, and at CBRE as head of commercialization.

During his career, he has prepared leasing strategies for Ghelamco’s leading office projects in Warsaw and the regions, including Warsaw UNIT, The Warsaw HUB, Warsaw Spire, The Bridge, VIBE, Wronia 31, Przystanek mBank, Senator, Marynarska 12, Mokotów Nova, Łopuszańska Business Park, Trinity Park III, Crown Square, Marynarska Business Park and Katowice Business Point. One of his greatest achievements is the huge commercial success of Warsaw Spire and winning the world’s most prestigious real estate industry competition, the 2017 MIPIM Awards, in which the Ghelamco skyscraper was named the best office and business project in the world.
