Immocap and the Municipality of the Capital City of the Slovak Republic Bratislava have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Joint Action on the Istropolis project. The key point of cooperation between the city and the developer is the space for culture and events.

The new hall, which will become the centre of the entire Istropolis project, will create a background for organising a wide range of events. "We value the long-term and constructive cooperation with the Municipality of the Capital City in the transformation of Istropolis, which has materialised in this memorandum. We believe that thanks to this, the new cultural stand will truly fulfill our vision of a new place for meetings and experiences. At the same time, it is important to say that our project for the new Istropolis also responds to other aspects of the city's strategic plan, such as adaptation to climate change, the future of brownfields and also responds to the development of demography in the city," says Immocap director Martin Šramko.

The form and functionality of the new cultural and social hall are also based on a survey conducted by the Bratislava Cultural and Information Center among professional organisers in the field of events and culture in early 2022. The survey confirmed the correct setting of the hall's capacity for standing and seated events, as well as the importance of civic amenities for the residents of the location where the new hall will be located.
The Istropolis project has a valid zoning decision and construction is scheduled to begin this summer. The developer plans to complete the first three buildings of the project in 2.5 years, the first phase of construction also includes a cultural and social hall with completion by the end of 2029.

The Istropolis project will bring 5 residential buildings, 3 office buildings, a cultural and social hall for 3,000 people on an area of 5.500 sqm (3,000 standing / 1,800 sitting), 25,000 sqm of public spaces (squares, greenery...), 7.500 sqm of greenery, 2 fountains, 2 new squares, 1 km of separated cycle paths and will also contribute to improving the quality of life in the zone by planting 147 new trees.
