Bergam Design House will manage the renovation process of Grand Hotel Bucharest, former Intercontinental Bucharest, as part of an €21 million investment that will be completed in 2024.

The hotel expects a 30% increase in the customer base during 2022 and the first two months of this year were “encouraging”, according to Lucian Marinescu, Member of the Board at Intercontinental Romania Hotel Company.

At the end of last year, InterContinental Romania finalized the hotel operating contract with IHG Hotel & Resorts so the name of the property in central Bucharest was changed to Grand Hotel Bucharest.

The last refurbishment of the hotel was carried out in 2008. The hotel has 22 floors, 257 rooms and apartments, a lounge club, a spa centre, two restaurants and around 1,500 sqm of spaces for conferences.
