Business leaders from finance, energy, technology, real estate and professional services will gather in Bucharest next week to discuss how companies can navigate economic uncertainty, technological disruption and shifting market dynamics. Bucharest Business Forum 2026 brings together senior executives, investors and decision-makers for an afternoon focused on leadership, transformation and long-term growth opportunities.

The programme opens with a macroeconomic outlook from Tatha Ghose, Senior EM Economist and Director at Commerzbank AG, who will examine the global economic trends shaping business decisions and investment strategies across Europe and beyond. This will be followed by a high-level discussion on Romania’s next phase of growth, bringing together leaders from UiPath, BRD – Groupe Société Générale, Evryo Group, Agrii România and workcloud24 to explore how AI, digital transformation and leadership are reshaping business models and competitiveness.

Energy and sustainability will form the core of the second section of the event. Milos Stefanovic of Citi will analyse the growing pressures facing global energy markets before joining a wider conversation on how businesses can turn green energy and sustainability strategies into a competitive advantage. Representatives of BCR, ProCredit Bank, Energy Policy Group and Emergy will discuss the realities of financing, scaling and implementing sustainable transformation in a volatile market environment.

The event will also highlight the growing connection between operational performance, technology and value creation in real estate. Hubert Abt FRICS, CEO of workcloud24, will present how operational data and performance metrics are increasingly influencing liquidity and financing decisions across the property sector.

The final section of the programme will focus on the future of work and the next growth cycle in real estate. Executives from Kaufland, Citi, Bosch, Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, EVO Properties and Speedwell will discuss how employers, occupiers and workplace leaders are adapting to changing expectations around talent, technology and office environments. The conference will then conclude with a discussion featuring senior representatives of Olympian Parks, WDP, Cordia Group, Vastint and Alesonor, focusing on long-term investment strategies, execution challenges and the outlook for Romania’s real estate market.

Beyond the conference sessions, Bucharest Business Forum 2026 will provide extensive networking opportunities for senior business leaders from multiple industries. The event closes with the introduction of “The 50 Most Influential People in Romanian Real Estate”, bringing together many of the country’s leading executives and decision-makers in one place.
