The Eset Campus project in Bratislava is moving forward after years of preparation. It has received a binding opinion from the municipality, reports SME.sk.

The first plans of Eset's new headquarters date back to 2017. After Eset had paid the state €26.2 million for the land in the Patrónka district, the company launched an international architectural competition, in which 270 studios from 26 countries participated, with the BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group studio as the winner. The final design of the project was presented to the public in November 2021.

The whole environment for technology companies and startups is to be created in an area of 55,000 sqm. In addition to offices and a scientific and research centre, public spaces, sports infrastructure, as well as a residential co-living are also planned. The project includes an auditorium, a multifunctional hall for sports and events, a museum, as well as a cycling centre.

Eset has recently received a positive binding opinion from the capital city's municipality. It can thus continue with the next steps of the permitting process. However, it is currently rather questionable when construction work will start.
