News Article Czech Republic Doornite industrial investment

The industrial area in the northeast of Jihlava, called Hruškové Dvory, is growing. The door manufacturer, the Jihlava-based Doornite company, has received a permit to build a new production hall.

In the first phase, the company does not plan to use the 9,000 sqm hall for its production, but will rent it out either as a warehouse or for light industrial production. It has currently obtained a zoning permit for the construction. It is planning an investment of around CZK 200 million (€8.1 million).

“We want to develop the land that is part of our property. The Hruškové Dvory industrial zone is just under 5 km from the exit from the D1 motorway, essentially in the middle of the country and at the same time on the outskirts of the largest city in the region. There are not many such places and it would be uneconomical to leave the land lying fallow,” explained Pavel Šatný,  CEO and co-owner at Doornite.

The construction has currently obtained a zoning permit. The company expects that construction could begin in the first quarter of next year and that it could be completed in March 2027. The subsidiary LC Hruškové Dvory, which is overseeing the entire construction, is already negotiating with potential tenants.
