Bulgaria-based insurance company DZI, part of Belgium's KBC Group, has acquired Mall Varna, an office building located in Varna, Bulgaria. The seller was Hidrostroy, a local company. The transaction price has not been disclosed.
Mall Varna comprises two connected buildings with an area of 27,400 sqm. KBC Group has already opened a shared services centre in Varna Mall and plans to move in more companies that are part of the group.
This is not the first real estate acquisition of the Group in Bulgaria. Back in 2018, DZI along with United Bulgarian Bank, also part of KBC Group, acquired the Millennium Centre office building in Sofia.
