BP has announced that it will be opening a new Global Business Services (GBS) centre in Szeged, Hungary, employing up to 500 people (subject to consultation) there by 2020.
Unlike other countries in the region Hunagry doesn’t have secondary office hubs and there is virtually no Class A office stock outside of the capital, Budapest. A multinational company’s decision to open a service centre in Hungary’s third largest city might indicate that there is potential in the country’s secondary hubs.
