Giles Bateman MRICS was educated in the UK before moving to France in 1997 where he then qualified as a Chartered Surveyor.
He spent nearly 20 years at CBRE in France where he commenced in Valuations and then set up and developed the Corporate Services business in France. He worked on major international Corporate End user projects in France and also delivered real estate services to large French Companies globally. He managed over 70 people in 7 teams and was a member of the board at CBRE France and the CBRE Corporate Services European Board.
He joined IWG in 2015 to head up development in Southern Europe. In 2016 he took on the European Region including some 36 countries and has deployed with his team the IWG brands into these countries such as Spaces, Regus, Signature, HQ, & No.18.

Joining S+B Gruppe AG, which is active as a real estate developer and investor, Johannes was appointed to S+B's Leading Team for the CEE countries. This team guides a number of major developments currently underway in Poland, Czech Republic and Romania. Johannes is the Country Manager for Poland and being the Managing Director of the operating company, he is responsible and enjoys the great success of the 300 rooms Hampton by Hilton Warsaw City Centre Hotel and works on the development of the other hotel, office, student housing and residential projects of the company in CEE.

Alex Bebov is regular speaker/moderator of property conferences on Central and Eastern Europe - from New York City to Bucharest and Budapest. He created and managed the first East-European REIT. He has been involved in IFC mortgage finance survey in the Western Balkans, works at present on several property financing mandates. He has been quoted many times in Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Global Finance, Euromoney magazines. BAC Securities which he leads has worked on deals from Poland and Slovenia, to Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria, and is full member or IPO Partner of three stock exchanges - Warsaw, Bucharest and Sofia. Bečár joined P3 in 2007 as Business Director Slovakia and was subsequently promoted to the role of Managing Director Slovakia, taking responsibility for business development, acquisitions and growth in that market. In 2010 his role was expanded to include responsibility for P3’s operations in the Czech Republic. As Managing Director Czech Republic and Slovakia, Bečár oversaw a significant extension of P3’s presence in these countries, with development at six different locations in the region. In late 2013 he took on the role of Managing Director CEE. Prior to joining P3, he was a Founder and Executive Director of WebCom Ltd. and Comsultia Ltd. Bečár holds a Strategic Management degree from Comenius University in Bratislava and is a Board Member of Investment Support Association (Slovakia).

Tomas Behounek is a Czech-qualified attorney and an equity partner of bnt attorneys-at-law in Prague. He has been with the firm for 13 years and has been a partner in the Prague office for 10 years. Paul Betts is Managing Director of M7 in Central Europe, based in Prague but responsible for operations across the Central European region. Paul has been working in real estate for 26 years and has been based overseas for over 22 years in Central Europe and France. Prior to joining M7 in May 2015, Paul was Head of EMEA Logistics at Jones Lang LaSalle. He was a Director responsible for the coordination of all business services offered within the Logistics sector across the EMEA region. He was also a member of the Global Logistics Board. Prior to this Paul was a Partner of King Sturge and Managing Director of the French operations.
Previously, Paul was located in Prague for King Sturge becoming Managing Director in 1995. He oversaw the team expansion from eight to 25 and was involved in the formation of new offices in Poland, Hungary and Croatia. Paul advised on a number of the earliest institutional investment transactions in the region for clients including GE Capital and HypoVereinsbank as well as providing development advice including site assembly for Skanska. Paul significantly diversified the range of property services available for investor, developers and occupiers in the emerging Czech market.

Gabriel is a founding partner of Biriş Goran and is widely regarded as one of the leading tax experts in the country.
Gabriel has over 21 years of experience in Romanian tax matters, having advised clients on complex tax litigation, compliance and structuring issues. He is well-known in the Romanian media for his tireless advocacy for meaningful tax reform to assist the business environment in Romania, and his appointment as Secretary of State in the Romanian Ministry of Finance was a vindication of his efforts.
Between December 2015 and September 2016, Gabriel was Secretary of State in the Romanian Ministry of Finance, in charge of tax legislation. He represented Romania at the First Inclusive Framework of OECD’s Anti-Beps Plan in Kyoto, Japan, in June 2016. During his mandate, he also promoted a future of VAT based on reverse charge with the European Commission.
Gabriel is actively involved in Ready Nation Ro, a Romanian NGO supported by Ready Nation US, which aims to determine a large number of Romanian business leaders to actively engage in creating public policies impacting the early education.

Prior to joining CBRE in mid-2012, Dr Blake was Director of Economic Analysis at Oxford Economics having previously worked for Experian Business Strategies, Wharton Econometrics (Global Insight) and the University of East Anglia. He holds degrees from the Universities of York and Warwick. Neil has extensive knowledge of economic and property market modelling and forecasting (with over 25 years’ experience) having developed the Oxford Economics European Cities and Global Cities models. At CBRE, Neil heads the EMEA research leads on forecasting investment performance and on strategic investment advice within the EMEA research team. He is an extensive experience of media and public speaking and gave the opening address at this year’s CEDEM Real Estate Investment Summit in Prague.

With almost 35 years of hotel & catering experience in operations, consulting and business development, Darren joined the Carlson Rezidor development team in Moscow in March 2006. Previously engaged with Starwood, De Vere, Forte, Renaissance, and IHG in the UK, USA, Bermuda and Hong Kong he initially worked in Eastern Europe in May 1992. Since then he has resided the past 25 years in Russia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine. Georg Blaschke is an educated banker and holds a university degree in business administration. He has almost 20 years of experience in real estate finance in USA, UK, France, Benelux and CEE. At professional posts in London, New York and Frankfurt he has been responsible for loan origination, credit management and business development. Now based in Frankfurt he is responsible for Poland in the loan origination team for "Continental Europe" at Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen (Helaba). Since the start of activities in these markets in 2006 the team has originated and underwritten financings of about EUR 4.0 billion.
