Laura Baciu co-founded The Estate in 2012, after 6 previous years of experience in the residential real estate market. She was a Sales Broker in Colliers International Romania and then part of the Asmita Gardens project sales team. The need for the property management service was highlighted by some clients who left the country around 2011 and this is how The Estate began. Laura is now in charge with the business development, while also advising clients who want to diversify their portfolio.
Badea Silviana Petre
Silviana Badea has over 12 years of experience on the real estate market. Throughout her career she has been involved in all aspects of property asset management on one side and advisory on the other side. Her specialties are disposal and acquisitions, office and industrial leasing negotiation, property and asset management, financing, property reporting and development.
Her most significant assignments since joining JLL are the completion of the sale of Victoria Center to GLL, Buy Side Advisory for GLL on Floreasca Park, Due Diligence for Logicor on the acquisition of the Immofinanz CEE Portfolio, Financing of Sibiu Retail Park.

John is the Tangible Assets Valuation Director for RICS, with a remit covering residential and commercial property across UK and Europe. John is a Chartered Surveyor and has worked in the property sector for more than 25 years, from day to day surveying and valuation work to being the Ombudsman at Ombudsman Services: Property where he led the property and professional services sectors. John has written several journal articles and spoken on R4 and other radio stations about property and consumer issues during his tenure as Ombudsman.
Alex’s background is physics, both at Oxford University and then a PhD at Imperial College London, where he also made a short documentary on melting tropical glaciers. Alex has consulted on corporate behavioural innovation projects, and knows first hand how difficult it is to change human nature.
Alex is now the co-founder of LightFi, a smart building insight and automation IoT solution that has seen early funding from Climate-KIC and Shell, with a mission to make energy efficiency easily accessible to every building and reduce global emissions by 1%.

Martin Baláž joined Prague team in the role of Senior Leasing & Development Manager Czech Republic & Slovakia in September 2014. In February 2019 he has been promoted to VP, Country Manager Czech Republic & Slovakia.
Prior to joining Prologis, Martin had 6 years experience in Real Estate working for Cushman & Wakefield holding recently a position of Associate Partner Head of Industrial and Retail Warehouse department in Slovakia as well as Head of Industrial Department Czech Republic.
He graduated Technical University in Zvolen, Slovakia Faculty of Marketing and International Trade as well as MBA in Construction and Real Estate at College of Estate Management in UK.
Specialized in project and financial management, Mr. Didier Balcaen has over 20 years of experience in the international construction and real estate market, out of which 11 in Romania. He is a Belgian National, who, after 5 years of contracting experience in Belgium, explored part of the world for the next 5 years as an expat project manager in U.A.E, Singapore, Saudi-Arabia, Indonesia, Qatar and Mauritius. After returning from his exotic travels, he fulfilled the role of Chief Operations Officer in real estate development in Poland, Russia and Romania until founding Speedwell in 2015. He is the founder and CEO of Speedwell SRL, a full service real estate development company with a focus on medium to large scale offices, retail and residential projects in Romania.

OTP Bank Romania
Csaba Bálint joined OTP Bank Romania in the beginning of 2008. Between 2008 and 2014, he worked in the bank's Risk Division in different positions, being responsible for macroeconomic stress testing excises and credit scorecard developments. At the end of 2014, he moved to the Finance and Planning Division as macroeconomic analyst, where he works with OTP Group's Research team, preparing analysis and forecasts about the Romanian economy, financial markets and banking system. He also teaches at universities in Oradea and Cluj-Napoca. Csaba passed the level III CFA exam in 2016 and holds M.Sc. in finance from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Currently, he is a PhD student at the same university.

Ben leads the team and company operations across Central & Eastern Europe for Prologis, the leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate throughout Europe, Americas and Asia is responsible for all activities of Prologis in the CEE region (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia). He joined Prologis in 2008 from Jones Lang LaSalle where he was the Managing Director for Central Europe. In this role, he was responsible for Poland, Hungary, Romania and the Czech Republic, including the daily management of the Warsaw office and operations in Prague and Budapest. Ben has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, of which 15 years have been spent in Central Europe with Jones Lang LaSalle and Prologis. He graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a degree in Land Economy. He is also a UK-trained chartered surveyor.

<p>Harry Bannatyne is a Partner and Regional Director of Industrial Department at Colliers International Czech Republic since December 1st 2019. He has been working in the CEE Industrial business for over 10 years with vast experience gained as his last appointment as Head of CEE industrial for JLL. </p>
<p>With a good understanding of the industrial sector including supply chain, Harry is a partner in the business with good connections with developers and end users alike. Over the last 8 years Harry has accomplished more than 100,000 sqm on a yearly basis helping tenants such as Metro/Makro, Mattel, Foxconn amongst others.</p>
<p>After Glasgow Academy schooling, Harry went on to complete a merit HND in Marketing and Business. Prior to moving to Czech Republic, he had his own business in Scotland, buying and selling commercial businesses and brings valuable business knowledge. He is on the Leadership board for logistics and industrial in Colliers and a member of AFI.</p>
